Default 3v 4.6

so im watching Pass Time on Speed and a guy ran a 13.01 with a cold air intake on the new 3v engine... thats such b.s. i struggle to get to 13.3, but my friend has 99 GT and blew the engine up. His brother had a baby and needed to get rid of his new mustang so he took over the payments and now has an 07GT. He likes our body styles better and wants to swap the engine on his new car into the old one trans and all. Does anyone know if we would have to switch the comp too? He can do it in his garage hes dropped a few engines in different cars, so it should be free unless we need to buy something small. We figured it would be a weekends worth of work and hes thinking about starting friday, i just wanted to see if people think i should tell him to do it or not, i cant decide if its a smart idea.

Default RE: 3v 4.6

I say no, what if it would blow up tomorrow? Warranty would be void. Plus if he has performance parts for his 99 none of them would work on the 3v. IF HE CAN NOT BE TALKED OUT OF IT, you have to swap wiring harness and ECU. But if I were in that situation, no way in hell would I pull the motor out of an 07 for any reason.
