The price is right and the car is right but he says. but has small lifter noise when cold,and it there a little when warms up too,im told they all do it, and it an easy fix. anybody know of this problem or how to fix it.

well it depends, is you car paid off? because you could take the 5k or so and invest it in that one and make it a rocket, however, is it your dd? are you trying to just make the fastest car you can?
I would jump all over that and just rebuild the heads. A 97 Cobra for $4900 with that low mileage is a good deal. Even if you had to replace valves, lifters, cams and cam springs you are looking at about $2000 including labor. I am doing that right now on my 96 GT. You may not even need all that once you take it apart and look at it. You also want to look at the piston heads to ensure they were not damage by the valves.It could just be a simple timing issue.

And OP Im guess it's a timing adjuster not a lifter noise. Car sounds like a good deal
