Im just about to order an MGW sts but need some answers. The shifter itself comes stock with the orange handle. Now, i noticed that the seperate blue 'shift handle' that they sell on their site for 30.00 can be bought for furth adjustablility. So, is this blue handle suppose to replace the stock orange one? Or does this one mount with it?! im confused...do ieven really needthat extra blue handle? URGH! this is y i kept my stocker for so long...

 

i believe the blue handle is JUST the handlefor the stock shifter, and its not meant to be used with the MGW sts you bought.

 

+1, the blue lever extension is designed to work with the stack shifter--it is not compatible with the MGW aftermarket short shifter...

 

you sure ?? there was a thread about this before where people were trying to decide which lever was better, the oj or blue


yea im pretty sure the blue works with the STS also, its just a better handle than the orange one...it can work on a stock shifter also though

 

The currently available blue handle, is an alternative to the OEM shift handle; it is not compatible with the MGW short throw shifter--no way...[/align][/align]MGW used to offer (a couple years ago) blue or red handles for the STS, with the red being the shorter of the two IIRC. The orange handle is "middle length" as compared to the red and old blue STS handle. I contacted George a while back about the blue STS handle and was told they were no longer available.[/align]

 

Excellent, you guys pulled through once again and saved my *** from wasting 30.00 alright guys i ordered it along with the dust boot and i have the cobra bob gasket right here next to me ill let yall know how it goes!
