i havent heard what your tick sounds like....but i can tell you that i have taken my car to a total of 3 different places/shops for my car making a ticking noise (mine is a constant tick, that sounds like an exhaust leak, but ISNT.) every shop i took it to, said the noise is normal. one of those shops (the last one i went to) was a ford dealership. my car didnt used to make the ticking noise. ive had it since it had 19k miles. up to 75k now.

anyway....my reason for responding, is after lots of searching the internet, today i decided to pour 1/3 of a can of seafoam into my crank case/oil. i didnt put it anywhere else, cause im not worried about the smoke show and all of that, i just want the ticking stopped. well, i must say im glad that i did it. so far i have only driven 25miles with it in there. im going to change my oil after about 150 miles (of seafoam treatment). after driving for about 10 miles i came back home and i could still hear the tick like normal. i just got back from another lil 15mile cruise. 25miles total so far....AND NOW I CAN BARELY HEAR THE TICK!! haha yesssss!!!

i've never used seafoam before....but i can tell you, if you have the annoying tick....TRY IT!!
