no don't contest pay the ticket and be done with it... how much is it?

Cost of Ticket = $175.00

Cost of Court Costs = $175.00

Cost of Ticket w/ Drivers Safety course = $103.00 plus $55.00 for the course.
if there isnt going to be any points on your DL just pay it and forget about it

Well, if i remember correctly, i told you it was a waste of time, but some other member said to fight it! Lawyers and court cost aren't cheap. I work in law enforcement so I know that the law will f**k you every chance they get.

THAT'S BS!! GOTTA LOVE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT! Special treatment for politicians and the like, but those that actually are doing their dirty work (the soldiers) get the shaft! Sorry bud, you deserve much, much more!

What will this do to your insurance rate if you just pay the ticket (i.e. - plead guilty)?

If you can really win, do it. Points on your DL plus extra for insurance = gay. A one time charge of $175 still blows b/c you did nothing wrong, but WAY better than the other option.

God, I hate the cops in the FH area. I was stationed there for 5 years, 4 of which I have had modified mustangs. And I am SHAMELESS when trying to get out of tickets. But they don't really care. Especially when they see a military-looking guy in a sports car. I can't tell you how many times I have been pulled over for little things, looking for a reason to ticket me.

Me personally, I would fight it. But that's just because I'd like to waste the cop's time in court and I really enjoy proving people wrong. But the smart route is definitely to plead no-contest, take your drivers safety course, pay the fine, and roll on. "Probation" is only what.. 90 days?

Good luck.
