Default CAI wrapping

Was wondering since my CAI is made of metal and gets hot after 30 min or so, which defeats its purpose, would using heat shield material or header wrap help to keep the air cooler? Just want some thoughts.

I think it is a would be ok to do. I had audi's and they had heat shields that did nothing i thought. I figure it is hotas f in the engine bay already and air is moving constanly through the intake so how much is the temp going to go up from the outside to the upperintake to make a different. I don't know but minimal.
So some kind of rapping or heatshield wouldn't hurt.
i understand the diff between a true cia and a short ram. short ram cia would suck mostly hot air and true cia from the fender well would get colder air

u can waste ur time and do it if it gives u something to do. all its gonna do in the end is look like crap under the bay; ur not gonna see or feel any improvements.
