where would I find one of those? I'm still pricing up this build, a fuel injected 427 is going to be hard to come by from what I am finding but by God, I'll make it work! LOL.

Well, I see a couple of issues here that might be a problem for you.

The 427 stroker is built from a 351W block. The 98 Mustang came with a mod motor. Swapping from a mod motor to a Windsor is going to create some issues. Most of them are not unsurmountable.

First off, where do you live? And what kind of smog requirements do you have? If you live in CA, forget it. It will never be street legal.

Second, the mod motor is wider than a Windsor, but it's shorter. You'll need to do a little surgery to get it to fit.

Getting 500rwhp without a power adder is not as easy as you might think. I drive a well built 427W that makes 472rwhp. Getting that last 30hp can be tough - big cams, big exhaust, big intake, high compression, etc. But it can be done.

There's no way to cheaply modify a stock fuel injection system to make those kind of power levels. Fortunatly, there are a couple of aftermarket systems that will do the job nicely.

You'll need a new trans. Call Gordon Levy for a stick.

The 8.8 should be plenty strong enough, unless you plan on a lot of drag racing with slicks. Then you'll need a 9".

funny idea but why not just drop an LS7 in there and have it custom tuned? maybe it would be easier + youd have an amazing engine =)

The problem with that idea is they run about $14000 and that's just for the small block. With all the work on top of that price you might as well just buy yourself an 03-04 Cobey and hold the value. Plus it's just the fact that you'll feed that whole gay *** line them Chevy folk like to use. "Built Ford tough with Chevy stuff." Every time I hear that come out of someone's mouth I want rip their head off and defecate on it.

I really hope I can do this. I need to close a business deal first. If this deal falls through then no job, no cash, and definitely no car :-(

with the added weight of the motor, would I have to swap out the front springs? Oh, will that block fit on the motor mounts for a 98 GT and will the tranny bolt up? Will I have to get a custom driveshaft? Oh and I made my presentation today, my career is riding on this.....

BTW, I've worked on many cars but never converted from auto to manual. Besides ECU, clutch pedal, cables, etc and an adapter plate for the T-56 to mate up, what else am I looking at needing?
