Default H Pipe installation

I asked a local shop and they said they wanted $300 to install a Mac o/r H pipe. They said it includes any custom fitting. Is it me or is that high? What's a fair price?

Well then it's time to start man.

Put the car on jack stands, spray down the bolts with PB Blaster. Go buy a 12 pack of beer. Drink a few. Get out your 2 foot extension, a swivel joint, and a 13 and 15mm socket. Get under there and start turning bolts. There are 2 on each manifold and the pass. side will be the most difficult, and then obviously the four that connect to the catback.

Once you get the old one out of the way, the new one will go on in about 20 minutes since there arent any cats to keep you from getting to the manifold bolts.

Seriously man, its not that bad. The beer gives you liquid confidence too

Wow! Shops are charging THAT kind of money for a midpipe install? There won't be anycustom fittings needed nor much more than an hour if you use a rack and an impact. Even if they're expensive and charge 100 bucks an hour it won't take them 3 hours to do something like this. My advice would be get a buddy with air tools, ramps/jacks, and get to it.
