Default Rear end question

ok, so when i bought the car, the guy told me that he thinks the previous owner put 4.10 gears in the car, but today i jackied it up and turned my tires, and i have stock gears.... i was telling a buddy at my work this, and he said that he has 4.10's and he thinks its too much gear for him.... he offered to trade rear ends with me so that he can have the stockers and i would get the 4.10's, do you think i should trade him? i'm worried that something might go wrong with his rear end if i trade him what do you guys think? would you do it?

I say don't do it! Hell, just go out and buy you some gear 3.73's or 4.10's and have them put in. Then you will know that the gears have not been punished by someone else.

Hmmm man IDK, it definatly sounds tempting. I probably would'nt do it if your car has low miles, just save a couple bucks and get some new ones. Just my .02

Well, if you study up enough and buy the right tools, you can do it yourself. Thats what I'm gonna do here pretty soon, I've been laid off for 5 f*cking months so my mod list has come to a hault.

If you want a pretty decent install link, I can give it to ya.....

Yea I understand.....Modular Depot in Newport KY will do them for 300, but you would probably spend that extra 200 in gas to get there and back.....
