Default Rear End Upgrades ?

I still can't get the search function to work on here (?). Anyways just put on new BIlstein shocks in the rear. Was thinking of some other upgrades as well. I'm not really a track guy or anything, but the rear end on this car is big time loose, I guess an inherent trait of Stangs. What's the best bang for the buck to just tighten things up a little, maybe prevent so much tail wagging and so forth? Control arms? I don't want a harsh ride though. still something loose back there and I can't figure it out. thought it was the shocks, but even with new shocks over some bad bumps there'sa pretty good CLANG/squeak combo coming from the rear end. any ideas?

Like said above go for upper and lower control arms. they are alot more solid then stock and have polyurethane bushings. Which help alot in keeping the rear more stable.

In my opinion it would be useless to just do oneand not the other. Not saying if you only do one that its not going to help stabalize the rear, but your not going to get the complete performance you can until you do both. But ifyour on a budgetI'd do the lowers first.

do uppers and lowers and have your torque boxes welded the factory welds don't hold up to the beating we put our cars through. my boxes where pretty beat up

Uppers are worthless unless you're an all out racer or you just want bang for the buck. LMR has uppers and lowers with Poly bushings, tig welded non-adjustables for around 150$. If you're looking for cheap acomplished upgrade, then thats the one to get.

thanks nerd. So these lower control arms...will it make a noticeable improvement with the tail sliding out all the damn time or any improvement with keeping the tires planted in first? granted, I don't have drag radials or anything, but my car does not pull like it should in first gear because I just flat out can't get traction..even if I'm not launching in any way. maybe my tires just suck, I don't know.
