You're going to need different hardware, since the OEM bolts more than likely won't fit in those holes, if it's anything like the TA Girdle.. As long as you use some in the flavor of Grade 8 or Grade 10, and has a small enough head that will fit into those hole to be fairly flush, you should be good..

In fact, you could probably purchase TA Girdle Hardware, and be fine.. It may be a little pricey, but well worth it.. However, looking at the picture, it shows slots for the bearing cap studs. Those would ALSO need to be purchased, otherwise you'll have a serious loss of fluid, and you wouldn't get all of the benefits of a true differential girdle..

yes, i'm aware that the stock hardware wont work with the girdle, its 1 inch think and the stock is paper thin....thats why i'm trying to find out where i can get the hardware. and if i cant get the hardware, oh well, i paid $10 for the girdle. so not a big loss.

well i just got off the phone with TA Performance and Kenne Bell. apparently the specs for the Kenne Bell Axle Girdle are almost identical to those of the TA 1806 LARGE. so i got the hardware kit for $30 plus shipping, so no worries. oh, and the hardware kits from summit racing and jegs are a joke. these girdles are too big for the hardware in their kits....

Call me crazy, but I was able to put 3+ quarts of 75-140 and a halfa container of Friction modifier in my rear axle with the TA girdle... I also just did it with my Ranger(with the Ford 8.8" rear axle, an entire 3 quarts)... I don't believe the axles are any bigger on the Ranger than the Mustang.. In fact I believe they are almost the same width..
