You can get better gas mileage because you will be in 5th gear more oftendriving on normal roads
now...but as far as highway MPG, it won't go up.

But as far as seat of the pants feel...gears will definitely put a smile on your face.
+1 I get better mpg for that reason with my gears.

i dont know about u guys... but with my 4.10s i get better city GM.. im in 5th instead of 4th like i was before em. cruising at 40 in town in 5th im at like 1400-1500 rpm

i was thinking about that with my auto wouldn't the compter shift no matter what? so gears shouldn't reduce my mpg

well your kinda boned when u have an auto and swap ur gear out. before i had gears i would just use 4th, because 5th would drop me to low and i would be doggin the car around in the city. with an auto u dont really have a choice because even with the computer shifting.. once u get to 4th your done ya know, even with od your still gonna be pushing higher rpms around town
