Default another h/x pipe question??????

We all know that the 01-04 auto mustang gt's need a different H or X pipe then a manual i hear this is because of the tranmission clearance issues. The problem is i only see an automatic mustang h and x pipe made by Bassani. My question does the Mac and all other brand name fit both manual and auto or just the manual??

thanks

I think they make them to have enough clearance for both. I've got a UPR and it hangs so low that it could clear a f*ckin turbine engine.
My guess is, the reason that Bassani says they are for an auto is because, if it can clear an auto it can clear a manual. So they make one pipe that works for both, like UPR, Mac, etc.

Does that make sense? Its kinda hard to word what I'm trying to say.

Yea i understand what you are saying. Bassani has different part numbers for both auto and manual pipes, they charge more for the auto pipe it would be ashame if the manual could fit and ppl bought an automatic pipe because they were told a different pipe is needed for fitment.

Oh, I thought they didnt have two different sizes. Well Bassani is a better brand so they probably make 2 pipes like you said.

The pipe needs to be bigger to clear the auto, so the other places make the pipe big enough to do that and then they dont have to make/sell 2 different pipes. Thats why my UPR hangs low, because they make it big enough to clear an auto.

Sounds like Bassani makes a better fitting midpipe, more specific to your application.
