Trunk brake light cover
anyone know where to get one? It's the rectangular cover over the brake lights on the trunk under the spoiler. mine looks hoooorible. all scratched up and hazy looking. Don't know how in the world it got to looking like that.
if you pop your trunk and look up at where the brake light is, you'll see that its only held on by two bolts. Unscrew the nuts and when the brake light comes off, disconnect the connector. If you just wetsand it, you can make it look brand new without buying a new one - first use like 300 grit or a fairly rough sandpaper (remember, you have to wetsand it!) , then use like a 1000 grit, and finally like a 2000 grit to polish it up - i did it to mine and it looks basically new, no marks or hazing left anywhere on it.
I can't make myself spray anything. now it might work great, nothing against your idea, but anytime I think of spraying something it just takes me back to the 16 year old ricer thing. wish I had a camera on me to take a pic of this civic where the guy had painted his corner lights with what looked like red fingernail polish or something. i could not believe it. and it looked like a 4 year old did it..but that's another thread in itself.
