Craftsman has a 260 peace tool set in the box for around $200 i have that set for my home use also go to a northern tool and equipment for a jack and jack stands. I would also get a set of pry bars, hammers, pliers (needle nose, channel locks etc.)and the ratchet wrenches they are a life savier. I would not buy the cube brake tool if it was me i would buy one of the rear brake tools but get the one that turns and pushes in at the same time it is a whole lot easier. Here it is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts...3756.m14.l1318

alright, since i used to work at sears in the tool section i will chime! first of all they have used the same stock number for each tool since they have carried them... for almost 80 years... second, they are given a value so fo example you break the handle on a hammer, its valued at $20 and their hammers are on sale for $10, you can get two... i went through my garage one time and got all of my dads old tools together from like 20 years ago and they were valued at like 550 dollars and since i worked there i switched them out for a brand new 300pc set... craftsmen tools are the best hands down...

Craftsman is by far the best tool for the do-it-yourself-er and to have tools around the house. Snap-on, Matco, and Mac are better, though. I usually buy from those three (mostly Matco), but I turn wrenches for a living, and the trucks come right to our dealership and we can just buy **** from them.

im sorry to hear that....[]

snap on and mac, matco, corwall are all SO overpriced.. yes they have nice stuff but i watch them pull up at my shop daily and laugh at some of the crap they try to peddle.. when i can go to sears and get 2x as much for the price.. and snap on only offers a yr warrenty.. just yesterday my snap-on extension i had TWISTED....

yes i do own my fare share of "designer tools" but for most stuff i go to sears.. theres just some specialty tools you cant get at sears tho lol

Every tool company is going to let out one or two duds once in a while.

And ask anyone who's been in the business for a while. The professional tools like Snap-On are a better quality. Craftsman is very good, I have a bunch of Craftsman tools. But over time Snap-On tools will out last Craftsman. Also, Snap-On and them make specialty automotive tools that Craftsman just doesn't have. You're not gonna find a water pump socket for a FWD 4.6L Northstar for the Cadillacs at Sears. Even more common tools like pullers you're not gonna get from Craftsman. Some tools you don't have a choice and have to buy Snap-On.
