YOu have to get a dash piece from a 01-04 mustang and then it will fit right in. There is a plastic piece after you remove the bezel, i just pulled mine off. I have a double din in my 2000. So just get a dash bezel from a later model mustang. any other questions feel free to ask.

Just get something to pry the plastic bezel up enough to get your fingers behind it and pull. You have to pull kind of hard and it will snap off. Be careful not to bend it too much cause it can break.
