Clutch less up-shifting, you hesitate slightly in neutral until the revs drop (IAC mod is required to make anything of this) to where they need to be for the higher gear, thenshift into the desired higher gear.[/align][/align]Downshifting works the same, but you rev-match the engine speed (using the skinny pedal) to what you know will be right for the lower gear, then go for it...[/align][/align]Very common in the "old" dayswhen non-synchro and weak synchro trannys were common. It's sort of like anatural processversion of double-clutching.[/align]

Yeah power shifting is what I'm talking about too. I guess flat shifting is just a street term where I live.

i have personally seen it be worth 1mph just powershifting 3rd to 4th back when my car was bolt ons....

Holy freakin crap....That is one hell of a shift! The tranny has to be frown when he makes a pass.
