Default Engine Losing Oil! Help Find Problem

Hello all,
Some of you may remember the discussion on the mustang forums under construction web chat. Here is the history and the problem with the car. Somewhere, Somehow its leaking oil. Weither its burning oil in the engine or leaking from somewhere. Heres the vehicle its a 1996 Mustang GT with 130 000km. I purchased the vehicle in september of 2007 at 120 000kms. The vehicle was female driven with a mechanic as a husband. The only bill I found in the folder they gave me with the car history is of 1745.20 which states "When driving the vehicle started to smell the revs were going up but vehicle wasn't moving." Then it says "Removed Tranny found clutch melted flywheel got so hot the ring gear came off replaced rear main seal and slinger resealed rear engine cover replaced flywheel pilot bearing throw out bearing pressure plate and clutch disc reassembled test drove ok found aftermarket exhaust rubbing on frame tried adjusting away no room topped up tranny fluid." This was only big bill other then 02 sensor replaced. I had the car looked at by my father in-law who is a retired chev mechanic. Everything seemed ok and I only paid $5500.00.

Since I've bought the car here are the bills in order. 120933 km ford dams tune-up, 121,380km checked for oil leaks found no major leaks. slight seaping at back of oil pan and valve covers. 122196km Oil light coming on, eng. noise on acceleration. checked oil - no oil on dip stick topped up 2.5L and flushed engine. 123044 DPFE sensor replaced due to very low votage. 129699km check engine light has come on. Needs purge flow sensor, replace sensor.

Had to top up oil every 400-800 km's when oil light would come on. Used synthetic 5w-30 oil. The acceleration noise was the u-joints. The last time I went to ford to find this oil problem they didn't bill me for checkin the levels again but told me the engine was burning oil and I had to replace it. So I laughed and just walked away, they seemed to have had enough trying to find my oil problem. Figuring that the oil might be burning threw the engine I had almost given up until 2 weeks ago me and my mother in-law parked in the drive way. Her driving a 2007 Chevy grand prix and me driving my mustang. We didnt realize till later but one of us leaked a substantial amount of oil. Around the size of a cd.

Anyone have any ideas on how to find this leak? I'm trying 99gt302's idea of using a black
light oil addative. I left a bunch of card board under my car for the night and i'll do it for
acouple nights after this. Any ideas or suggestions would be well appriciated and I'll definately attempt any ideas people have. Thanks alot
If you need any more info just ask! thanks again,
Kevin.
