Good Engine?

When did the so called "good" engine move into the new edge, and what is the best gear change for a 01+ automatic

1999 was the first year of the PI engine... which I guess you could consider the good engine.

They made it better in 2003 by adding extra spark plug threads.

4.10's are good with an automatic 3.73's are better if you are doing highway driving.

totally agree, although most on here are going to say 4.10s FTW

Is there some sort of gears that gets best of both worlds I don't want to sacrifice speed or highway driving

No not really, you can go 3.90.. but you might as well go 4.10 or 3.73 you wont really be able to tell the difference. just get 4.10s and dont look back

I am typically against 4.10s, but with an automatic,

if you ever go on the highway for a long time daily i would say to go with 3.73 i couldnt imagine how 4.10s would be. Im around a little over 3k at 90 and thats alot more then it use to be with stock gears.
