Default Some newbie questions

I just picked up my 03 GT (5 spd) last week. I have a bunch of questions about modding them and what to be careful with. I have used the search feature but most of my questions weren't found. Only mod I have so far is flowmaster cat-back (came with it on).

1) What is the stock throttle body size?
I'm looking at buying a TB+Plenum and was wondering what size to go with. Does the plenum really help much? Or should I just get the TB? Basically is bigger, better? Should I upgrade injectors too?

2) Where can I find the stock console trim (piece of plastic that goes around the A/C *****, radio, etc. and the shift boot)?
Besides ordering from a dealership, I couldn't find it anywhere on the mustang sites.

3) Will you feel a noticeable increase in low-end acceleration with 3.73 gears?
I have read up on this one and am probably going to go with 3.73, just want to make sure it's worth it. Does the americanmuscle.com 3.73 gear + tuner kit include everything you need to install it? How many mpg do you lose with 4.10 vs. 3.73? What does first, second, and third gear top out at for both sets of gears?

4) Anyone have clearance issues with LT headers and a lowered car? (with Eibach pro spring kit)

5) The lining on the bottom of my back windshield is loose. What solution can I use on the glass to get the lining to stay on? Something that is safe and won't F up my back window.

6) Are underdrive pulleys really worth it? Some people say they don't do anything at all performance wise, while others claim 10 rwhp gains, who is right?

I'm sure I have more questions but that's all I can think of now. I know it's a lot, but any help given is appreciated.

Just thought of another one.

My second gear seems to grind. All other gears shift in and out fine, but when I go from 1-2, it usually grinds regardless of how much I disengage the clutch. Any ideas what it could be? When I pull it harder to the side when I shift (and shift very slowly) it won't grind as much. Also, when I have it in 2nd and punch it at 2-3k rpm, it sometimes hesitates when accelerating. Any clutch kings out there that can diagnose the possible problem?

ok lets see... gears are a must 3.73s will be a big change from stock gears...and you WILL notice it.. UD pullies lol 10whp lmao thats funny but as long as you're going full bolt ons you might as well do them as well.. idk if you will notice it itself but with other bolt on it might make a slight difference.. and your problem from 1st to 2nd gear is more than likely the syncro , it happens alot in mustangs espically from 1st to 2nd.

your second gear probably is the syncros. 3.73s are good the difference between them and 4.10s is not that noticable as far as mpgs.
LTs will not be a problem on lowered stangs, and UDPs will "free up" hp but as far as rwhp look more around 5-6.
Your throttle body/plenum issues don't worry about until later when you have more mods, as thats when you will benefit from those more.

i would def go with the 373 gears. You will notice it on the low end..Highway driving ..figure about a 200/300 rpm boost at 60 mph..I am pretty sure its at 1800 rpm at 55(base gears),on my car it went to 2200.I tried the 410s and was at 2500rpm at 55..That was a little too high for me, but to each his own ,and good luck!!
