Default Gear questions...

Alright, I am interested in getting 3.73 gears for my 96 from Brenspeed. According to their site, I can get the gears + install kit for about $210 + tax. However, my dad says it will cost close to $700 for labor costs to have them installed. Let me here what you paid in total for your gears and installation. If my dad is right, I think I will be waiting for a while on the gears.

It cost me $450 to install. Nobody around here would do it so I just coughed up the cash.

install really depends on your location, its like $200-$500 depending on shop and where you live, if you're not too fixaed on 3.73s go with 4.10s.. a buddy of mine had 3.73s installed 4 months ago and he just bought a set of 4.10s because the 3.73s wern't enough.

I think the 3.73 are more ideal for me. Its my daily driver but I like to go to the track every once in a while + it will give me a little more confidence on the street. I haven't raced anyone yet but if the time comes I don't want to lose to a fcking ricer. I live in Washington so id think that the labor cost might be a little on the lower end.
