well i got tired of my 3.73s so i just ordered some frpp 4.30s, got my rebuild kit and everything ready to go. i was talkin to an old timer who said "i hope you got enough motor for that gear" meaning i guess that he didnt think my car made enough power for the gear? idk, just trying to get someother thoughts on this, yet i talk to other people more fimilar with the modular ford crowd and they say it should be a great gear for me. right now ive got pretty much full bolt ons, stage one cams so its not a bad little performer for a N/A 2v, any thoughts would be nice, thanks

 

you should have no problem with that gear. i wish i would have went with 4.30's. i have 4.10's and it pulls hard, but with those gears im sure it will pull like a SOB. you good to go man

You're gonna lose atleast 12 mpg and tach out at 75 mph.....

 

since im sure you can keep those wheels to the ground... i bet that gear would be very nice for you... who cares about MPG... loss of 1-2 from 3.73 at driving speeds maybe.. w/e.. if ur driving a v8 mustang, who cares about the gasssss.. you'll prob max out at like 120? idkkk lol this whole post was useless haha.. im just agreeing that 4.30's will b good =)

at 70mph your gonna be about 3k

 

IDK about the 75mph, but he won't lose 12 mpg

haha thanks guys, i wasent too worried about it, i think the gears are gonna be mint, ive got an LS1 and a AWD talon to take care of this weekend so im gonna get some DRs and go to war haha

 

i want to get gears, are they really not good to get 4.30's if you don't have mods to back it?
