alright now is not the time but eventually im looking to buy a 99-04 modular gt mustang. I am a young mustang lover and i know people thrash on those like there is no tomorrow trust me i can understand why i probably would too. but my question is how to spot if the car has been driven hard or i guess too hard and what point i should walk away if it looks too damaged because i dont know what to look for any replies would be cool

look at the owner. a young kid is gonna trash it. if it has mods.. its gonna get driven hard.

my advise.. look for an original owner who is an older lady chances are it will be stock down to the paper filter and even air silencer.

yeah i mean i am going to have roughly 10000 to spend on it and i know there are good deals out there but ill probably want it stock i agree

i also got another question it wont be now but when i get it the first thing i think i want to do is put exhaust on it my idea was pypes off road x and dual flowmaster 40 series chamber two mufflers but im torn on whether i should do the mufflers for less or full slp loudmouth two exhaust system any suggestions

99-04 are pi cars (performance improved) they have better heads, cams and intake than the previous 96-98 models

ill sell you my car for ten grand .. not all young people trash their mustangs and drive them hard, because im 17 and i treat my mustang like its my wife. and gas is also 4.50 here. but yes the majority of teenagers are going to drive them hard i have a friend the same age who has been through 3 sets of rear tires in 2 months.
