Default Forged Pistons

Hey guys, I'm new here, and I have a 2002 GT 2 valve. I'm debating between going crazy with it or getting a 4 valve whether it be a cobra or a mach 1. I know forged pistons would allow me to run higher boost pressure on a potential blower, but is that a separate issue from the engine block? I've heard the 2 valve engines are good for about 400rwhp, would the forged pistons allow for more, or would I have to get a 4 valve 01 cobra or 03 mach 1? Thanks for your help!

forged pistons and rods, and crank, the whole rotating assembly, even if you were to buy an 01 cobra or an 03 mach you would still have to forge the bottom end to see much more than 400whp safely, only the 03-04 cobras come stock with forged pistons/rods. the cobras do have a forged crankshaft stock as do the manual machs but the rest of the bottom end isn't good for much above 400whp. Forge your car, i was told by a guy on here who knows his stuff that diamond is a very good way to go.

So forge your pistons/Rods/Crankshaft and your car will be good for well above 400whp, it depends on what exact pistons and rods you buy, the more power they hold the more expensive they are so find a power level you are comfterable with and buy a forged rotating assembly that meets your wants. Your block should be fine unless you get into pretty insane numbers.

Diamond pistons and Modmax H Beam Rods (Manley will work as well) will hold plenty of power, even with a stock cast crank. Find a competent engine builder, and that setup will hold a ton of power for a relatively good bargain.

Alright, thanks so much. I found diamond forged pistons, but could someone send me a link for forged rods and crankshaft?
