Yes you can, depending on a whole lot of other factors it is possible to have too much advance--without pinging/detonation--and not reach optimal HP.

I doubt you are using race fuel so you will ping long before you advanced your timing too much to cause your power to drop. I can't remember what it is on NA engine but on a FI engine that point is usually 21* advanced. Most people only get 14-16* on there blown applications before they start to detonate.
On an n/a 4.6 2V you can go as high as +27° with 93 octane in the meat of the powerband, tapering it off to +14° to +17° after peak torque is attained. This is of course dependent on proper fueling, MAF curves, hi/lo injector slope, and a bunch of other things, etc...
