So I'm curious, what's the highest speed you guys have hit in your mustang? I've managed to hit 140. Not sure if that's the exact speed I was at, but my speedo sure said 140, and that was with my car kind of out of shape. Only thing I've done is K&N filter, royal purple oil, royal purple trans fluid, and 17x9 cobra wheels, though I doubt the last one had any impact. I have heard that 136 or 137 is where our cars are supposed to peg out at stock, but I hit this speed at the top of fourth gear. Can you get any more speed out of fifth? If so, I may have more to go. =D

Its limited to 148-149 I believe. 140 is pretty good lol

I did almost 90 once.

You should be able to peg the speedo as long as you don't have a 99-00 with non z rated tires stock.

 

138.3 per my GPS, the speedo said 142 or so. I got to there pretty quickly, it had more however it would have taken a while to get it all.

I was getting close to the 88 mph mark when all of a suden this gadget started making a noise and the next thing you know, i was shaking hands with Hands with John Holmes and having fun in the 70's............at least i hope that was his hand.

lol jk.. ive pegged the speedo but it was stupid and i will never do it on a public road again. They are not made for it.. You hit a bump and a tire goes at 150 and your done.. Ive lost way too many friends to wana go out and do it or encourage people to do it. And not to mention putting the lives of other people at risk.. no thanks ill take it to a track where i have no worries about cops or killing myself..
