My motor makes a ticking noise while at idle.... someone said loud fuel injectors, others said timeing chain rubbing..... does anyone else make a ticking noise?

I would guess its the timing chain. If the tensioner goes bad it will make a nice ticking noise.

That would definitely be a good thing to do while your in the engine. When are you doing cams?

Does it only tick under load or is it noticeable at idle.

i think you might have an exhaust leak. thats what my ticking is...i hope.

my motor ticks too...not obnoxiously loud or anything..i read abot about it and from what i gathered a lot of 4.6s tick
