Default Random Questions! Help! (Exhaust-Wheels)

Hey Guys,

Got a few questions about my 2000 Mustang Vert. I just got it and I am looking to upgrade a bit and had some questions about exhaust and tires. The car is completely stock right now.

First is wheel size. 18x9 Front and 18x10 back? I believe that is standard for upgrade. My question is what size tires should I put on? What is the widest I can go on a 10 inch wheel?

I am thinking 265 front and 305 back? Is that possible? Also what about sidewall width? I would prefer something more on the low profile side.

Also what do you guys think about a catted H and Borla Stingers? I can't find any sound clips. I will have stock headers.

Thanks guys! Any advice is much appreciated!

Borla Stingers + catted H = SICKNESS!!!!!!....Here's one clip I found of this combo. I'll try to find some more.

Let me know what you think of the clip...

And if you want louder than that....You could always go with an O/R X or H pipe.

i would go with 10.5 in the rear if you are going to put a 305 on, you can actually step up to a 315 with that wide af a wheel, as far as exhaust im a big fan of magnaflow, i have highflow cats with a built in x plus a cat back, nice and throaty at idle and cruise, and she roars pretty good under load, all this with no droan.

Dont go with a 10.5, forcefeed your wrong, it will be too big for 305 and it would look tacky, 10 in is just perfect for 315. If you go with 10.5 then i would get 325's minimum in the back. The widest is 325mm on a 10 inch rim but it wont look to good IMO. The side wall bulge out the side of the rim... im very picky because i worked at a tire shop, As for low profiles, here is my set up, Front: 275/35/18 Rear: 315/30/18. Those are nice and low profile. Exhaust, i say internet clips will never give you the idea of sound that you will see in person IMO.

+1 on the Magnaflow as well! Borla Stingers or Magnaflow...you can't go wrong with those two choices.

I've got a Magnaflow catback side exhaust with an o/r x pipe on my ROUSH and love it! Of course it's gonna be a different with my side exhaust....but it's gonna sound sick either way.

for the front 265/35/18 are perfect I would not go any wider in the front if you are staggering them.
