Default Which Tranny Setup???

ive been debating going witha T-56 tranny instead of my t3650, but some people have been tryin to get me to go with an automatic of some sort. I mostly use the car on the street and my main goal is to have a quick street car. Should i ditch the 5speed and just go with an auto? if so, which auto setup should i go with?

Go with my 4R70W I'll swap you

I like the T56 swap idea if you have the extra coin.

The 4R70W is the way to go with an auto. You'll have to change the harness and computer as well as get a trans fluid cooler. The stock 4R70W is good for 500 hp with a shift kit though. If your just looking for a fun to drive street car though I'd stay with the standard shift.

after talking with promotion, i would say thier rebuild 3650s seem to be the way to go... you can get one out the door with all the bells whistles, clutch adjuster, everything, for like 2k....... compared to 2600 for a sixspeed and no extras...

if you wanted you could do a tko, im selling a whole TKO that was in my car, has 2k or 3k miles on it since a rebuilt from sixspeed inc... 1250 with a lakewood scattershield.

I went with a Viper Spec T-56, loving every minute of it. Gets me 28mpg on the highway, how can you beat it?

and if you do go t56 get one out of a cobra not a viper... we dont make nearly the power or torque to have a need for such long high gears...only thing they might be good for is like the guy above said gas milage.

if you go new, that just means a regular t-56, which if I remember correctly is like $2200
