Where are you in the cities? Hi-tech motorsports is my tuner but they have a shop to do work as well. Great guys, and they have a really nice shop but they are in Elk River.

stage 3 heads/cams would probably net you 300-330rwhp?? (im not too sure, im just figuring since NPI to PI conversions usually net NPI people more hp)

my numbers depend on the tune and other mods

Stage 3 might be a little extreme for his set up but a set up ported pi heads and cams would be a nice addition. It kinda depends on what you do with the car....cuz you might want to focus the rest of the money on suspension or more bolt ons. There really isn't a track close in our area so most people in these parts do street cars.

Short list though.... heads, cams, gears, dyno tune. Do some lower control arms and other bolt ons with the rest of the money.

Get a big turbo that you can grow into as you change other components.

Your best bet is going to be picking up a set of used PI Heads w/cams attached, a PI Intake manifold....learning to do THAT labor on your own (nothing here is HORRIBLY difficult, just time consuming since it'll be your first time.) I replaced a cylinder head with nothing more than a Haynes manual and a couple tools from autozone that I didn't have on my own.

THEN

Find a used supercharger, pick up the additional supporting mods, and have it paid to be installed/prof. tuned.

That might put you just a bit north of 5 grand after all is said and done, but it's your most logical and reasonable path to happiness.

here is what i would do. i would go for at least some stage 2 heads or maybe even stage 3's and do a nasty cam to go with that. and then i would buy an aftermarket intake manifold and have all that professionally installed and tuned. then i would buy some wheels and throw some sticky drag radials on them and do some 4.10 gears. your car will be a friggin monster if you do that. and then if you have money left over i would buy some suspension mods and you will be set. also i would do longtube headers with opening up the heads. but thats what i would do and i think you could do most of that stuff for around 5 grand.

All that for 5 grand? Find it for me and sign me up. That's ludacris.

Stage 2 or 3 heads can run as much as 1500 dollars, and add another 800 for a good set of stage 2 cams. Don't forget he'll need some notched pistons. Let's add 750 for a good after market intake manifold. Long tubes could run 500 dollars, but since the motors apart anyways, we'll exclude labor.

IF we do all that, and have it installed, we're already close to the 5,000 dollar mark.

Going on we're buying and having installed, a set of 4.10's. Install and parts is probably 600 on a good day, add a pair of decent tires for 300, and we'll completely forget about suspension.

Now, we've spent 6-7K dollars for a low low low 13 or high 12 second N/A 'friggen monster'

no,,,,not quite sir

With a stock short block I wouldn't get to crazy with the cam. You're not going to want to spin that much passed 6k as it sits.

Check out this website
http://www.hitechmotorsport.com/
They sell heads and cams and they will do the installation as well. Pretty decently priced too.

$1,300 for the heads (core needed)
$600 cams
$550 for the tune plus whatever labor is these days so you're probably looking at $3k at this point. Then you'll need to pick up a PI intake. So you'll have probably about 1-1.5k left over to work with.

Then look for a used, but well taken care of s/c. I know that seems like a hard to find thing, but they are out there. Your heads should be your first priority though.

I will check out Hi Tech.I live in Andover so Elk River is close.

Any one have any info on a Powerdyne Supercharger.I can get my hands on a used one
here off of a 97 Stang GT for 1000.00,Is this a good deal?

Am I to assume the S/C from a 97 would fit on my 98?
