Default Suspension Question

This could be one of the weirdest suspension questions posted on this forum...

I have a set of factory springs from my old 2007 GTI in my garage and I'm pretty sure they would drop my GT if I put them on due to the weight difference. How would I see if they fit? It would be really helpful if someone could measure the width and length of a set of stock GT springs for me.

You are gonna be the star of one of those "you're doing it wrong" de-motivational posters here pretty soon.
