I wish they would come out with a 4v head too haha. It makes me wonder if it's even possible to make an aftermarket 4v head, I always figured the 2v head would come around sometime, but not so sure about 4v. Probably not just because the market for them won't be large enough anyway

If i was looking at the right chart these heads have some nasty turbulence up top... maybe some of these pro porters can / should be able to correct it... but as is these aren't that great... that said though if that can be fixed and there is room to work on these, its not to crazy to say that they could hit 280-300 cfm, but since nobody has seen them its impossible to tell. I see how these are going to be a popular bolt on for your average 2v shadetree mechanic, however, I dont see these being able to compete with hardcore enthusiats who are willing to send some heads out for some work. From just guessing it seems that this route (buying them and then having them ported) wont be much cheaper then buy a 4v head casting and having it sent out ported and rebuilt - but they will still get blown out of the water when it comes to overall flow. Thats not to say that these aren't going to be a great addition, but imo, as it stands a 4v swap is still better

But there are those of us who are pulling for the underdogs here. which is why im planning on sticking to the 2v motors just so i can go out there and whip some tail with a 2v. i mean its nothing to go out and kick some butt with a 4v but a 2v...there are some but not a whole lot. and if im not mistaken, ported assembled 4v heads are like 3200 or so and then if you want performance cams, youre looking at close to 4000 so i think that these heads will suffice for around 3000 with some port work and some custom ground cams.

These heads are one of the biggest influences in me starting to mod my mustang. What kind of 1/4 times would a stang with 370-400whp run? I'm guessing low 12's maybe high 11's?

Depends on the suspension, I would say closer to low 12's

still alot of wishful thinking going on... not that its not warranted, but imo I would need to see close to 300 out of these to even think about buying them as opposed to a ported 4v

why is anyone comparing a 2v head to a 4v head anyways. you cant beat the flow of a ported 4v on a 2v, so why the heck would you compare it.

PPL are excited because there is a newly designed head that givs more promise than anything out right now.

Here's what I don't understand. Trickflow seems to be a great company all around, and makes GREAT heads for SBF's.

Why do you guys that that after all their R&D on this new 2v head, that some redneck with a dremel is gonna be able to port these out and flow 300cfm? If that were possible, don't you think trickflow would have been able to get closer to 300cfm?

A 400rwhp N/A 2v (which I don't think were gonna see very many of) should EASILY be in the 11's. Even in stock + D/R form
