Default F****** RANT

-So I purchased a new set of 4.10's from someone who had bought them from jegs, and had em sitting around

-mechanic installs, gear whine occurs 40-50 mph, mechanic swears pattern/backlash is perfect

-go through jegs for an exchange, jegs says they only accept returns within a year of purchase (gears purchased in 06).

-3 Weeks later I still don't have my mustang back, because I dont wanna drive around town with ****ty gear whine.

-I wanna shoot a few customer service reps at jegs for giving me a hard time, first I call, say the buyer was Daniel Howard, NOTHING in their system, 1 day, 5 calls and 5 attempts later, I give them another number for Daniel Howard, oh and what shows up in their records? Sir Daniel Howard. STFU GIVE ME NEW GEARS NAO. Sir will you please calm down?

/end rant

Always know the return exchange policy for ANYTHING you buy.

You bought second hand gears and expect jegs to give you a new set? Your lucky that customer service rep didn't reach through the phone and slap the **** out of you.

i bought them from another parts dealer, which is exactly what jegs does, i should reach through my monitor and slap the **** outta you with my ****, dumbass

they were richmonds, and in regards of the exchange policy its just an attempt my mechanic made to help me out, I wanted him to just put in a new set at my cost.

HAHAHA! Mustangman you're hilarious!

Op, that's why you should pick and choose what you buy second hand. Something like gears which is really low cost anyway should never be scrimped on. I paid $150 including shipping for my brand new Ford Racing Gears. Good luck bud.

Btw, how noticable is the whine? Does it happen only on acceleration? Deceleration? Or all the time?

i love it when people start a thread and dont post the facts like "I purchased a new set of 4.10's from someone who had bought them from jegs, and had em sitting around" and not "i bought them from parts dealer and they got them from jegs". theres a big diffrence in those 2 statements!!!!!! and they wonder why people are calling them a dumbazz.......

Why should Jegs offer a refund on a part that the OP didn't get directly from them?
