Gear whine? lol My has gear whine and I dont give a **** it pulls. I installed them myself. Your friend must not of installed them correctly and whined in his car.When you set the gears the first time they gota be perfect so thhey wont whine. Once you do a single rotation on them under load if isnt installed correctly it will whine.

Sounds like a case of the Mondays.
Just buy a new set this time and have them installed somewhere else. I bet the install is the problem.

 

Richmond gears are infamous for whine. You can either live with it or get a better set. No offense, but you should look into the product you are buying before committing to it.
