honestly im more concerned with where ill be after the shift then before... like ifi have to shift above where i make good power to get it to put me hard in my tq curve i do.

honestly i shift every gear a little differant, as stupid as that sounds... and when i was stock i shifted 3rd even earlierthen everything else

i think stock i launched at 3kish...

1st gear 5900-6000
2nd 5700-5800
3rd 5400-5500
4th 6000

and if i recall, only 1 or 2 other people on here ran what i did stock...

for what its worth now, i shift closer to 6k, but thats with 4.10s and nitrous

Honestly though...who is looking at the tach when you are racing...especially on the street. I shift off of sound. I know I usually shift right around redline if not a little bit higher just based off of sound and my friend telling me i hit the "red line" and that he was surprised my car didnt blow up. but usually no more than 6k. And if im racing i powershift second and usually third. but thats usually where it ends. But give shifting off of sound a try. Works for me.

it takes less then a second to move your eyes down then back up, sounds like you need a shift light in replace of that friend haha.

in his defense, it was in an undeveloped neighborhood, with a good stretch of roadway and no cars to be seen.

hopefully its warm enough, and no snow for another rematch this friday =P
