replacing front rotors

If it is realy stuck, spray some pb blaster or wd40, let it soak and then bang it around CAREFULLY around the edges and around the hub, you dont want to ruin the surface with a hammer lol. The brake dust shield does not have to come off.

yea i ended up getting it.... it was just stuck so i just beat the hell out of it till it came lose... my caliper braket bolts are a bitch to get off too.. its not as easy as i thought it would be

..front brakes question....
how do i know if my rotors need to be replaced or if they can be turned? not totally sure i am using the right 'lingo' in my question....im flying solo since my man (meching on cars was his passion~not my department) sadly passed away 9-11-07 any pointers would be much appreciated...i know when he did my f150 front brakes, he had the rotors turned... hope i'm not biting off more than i can chew! wish me luck. thanks for the hep

take your rotors to NAPA Or any place like a machine shop. If they can turn tem they will tell you if not you have to buy new ones
