Should I go to 3:90's or 4:10's with 28" tire?

Default Should I go to 3:90's or 4:10's with 28" tire?

If I go from a 26" to a 28" rear tire and an auto, should I also consider switching out the 3:73's for a little steeper gear?

Well considering I was close to the rev limiter before with 516 and now I have 598. I'm thinking I might be hitting it even with the the taller tires and 4:30's.

I would run the lowest gears possible if I thought in wouldn't go over 6500 rpm going through the traps. I would be worried about 4:10'S

I don't think you're taking in consideratin I might pas 6500 rpm in drive in the 1/4. I quit making power at 6400.

With 3.73's and only 516 rwhp I was barley hitting my 6700 rpm rev limiter right after the traps a little over 130 in 4th with a 5 speed

I now have 598 so it might also do it with 28" tires if I go a low as 4.10's. Now if I go auto and 28" it might make it possible to go 4.10's because the auto and 28's will absorb a little power and there's always a little slip with an auto.

IDK if people are realizing that you have ~600rwhp.

I'd leave the 3.73's in there for now.

...no idea you're making 600 hp...28" is a taller tire then a 26"...that would be my only reason to go with 4.10's and a 28" tire!

...If you have 3.73's, stick with them! ...but, you will be taking out some rear gear if you're going from a 26" to 28" slick....
