Obviously I need to recal. the speedo and I want to turn the rear O2s off. I probably won't be buying an AF meter and I also won't be spending $680 for the commando. My question is..I can buy a "canned" tune from say Brenspeed Xcal for $379, give them all my info, mods, etc, and they load all the tunes. What advantage would I have buying the SF over the Xcal? My hesitation with getting a SF and entering parameters myself is a fear of royally *@(&@ing something up because I'm ignorant when it comes to tuners.
First and foremost, there is no "rocket science" in tuning a car, it's just a stinking mass produced automobile--which in the overall scheme of things is like a 3 (on a scale of 1 to 10) in terms of technological complexity.

The fellow at Brenspeed started out not having a friggin' clue as to how to tune a Mustang--but he learned--and guess what? You can too...

In the second, SF does not let you wildly enter parameters and mess things up. It's just like the handhelds from the other sources--even while allowing access to much more the the typical HH, it protects/isolates you from really messing up.

PLUS, the Sniper team, and Sniper forum are there to help you through the learning process.

The bottomline is that, if you want to learn to do it by yourself, Sniper SF amd/or Commando are the best deals going. OTH, if you don't care to learn how to do it, and are OK with paying others (over and over again 'til it's right) then do whatever works for you, and buy whatever you want and be done with it..,

this has to be one of the most useful and information abundant articles over one product that i have seen in a long time on any forum. Thanks for useful information as I have just received my sniper sf tuner, and this has built me a good reference on what to expect from it and how to use the thing, as well as what will be needed for tuning the fuel parameters.
