These say they are for PI heads, how about the TFS heads? Cam #1 has an amazingly quick ramp but 5000rpm peak? Then the stage 2's which ARE BETTER SUITED TO THE TFS HEADS HAVE A MUCH MILDER RAMP, ONE OF THE SLOWEST I HAVE SEEN FOR THE MODULARS. tHE #1 HAS JUST A 34* DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ADVERTISED AND AT .050". THE #2 HAS A 41* DIFFERENCE, DON'T BELIEVE I HAVE SEEN ONE THAT HIGH FOR DIFFERENCE.
Are these indeed for the TFS heads or the PI heads or both? I have a set of new Hitech stage 2's, .550"/.500" & 234*/230* on a 111*LSA-1* retarded. Now how would these react with the flow of the TFS heads? Some cammanufacturer that TF is working with should be able to punch numbers into the master cam program and with the flow come up with some numbers. I don't know if I should sell the Hitech's and go for the #2 cams or try the Hitechs!!??** I had a set of SHM #2730's which were .500/.500 & 230*/230* on a 113* LSA and the bottomend was not there, nada, couldn't spin a tire with 4.10's and a 3200rpm stall. Granted they were not degreed and needed shims under the lifters to make up for the small base circle.
How about it TFS or anyone here, what cam sounds best? The #2 TFS have 8* overlap at .050" lift while the Hitechs have 10*and I will have 11.5:1 compression. I need to get the dynamic compression down to a 9:1. How about durartion at .200" lift for cam #2?
Great prices but truly for which heads? I am going NA, compression listed, SVO intake-good to 6500rpm, forged and balanced internals in a Teksid block. UDP's and a DIY RAI/CAI.
Thanks for the extra infoon the cams.Mark
PS: How about the valve events in degrees at .050" please.Youknow, intake open/close, same for exhaust.THX again
