Default 2002 Mustang Gt: 6 or 8 bolt crank?

I am pondering the idea of getting a shortblock but I want to know if I have a 6 or 8 bolt crank. I don't want to end up having to buy another flywheel.

Is it a Romeo or Windsor motor?

Romeo = 6

Windsor = 8

Atleast thats what my sources tell me

I think all GTs 2002 and up are one of them but I dont know which one lol

you got 6 bolt
If you get a Cobra crank it's gonna be 8

most likely romeo. Modual Windsor blocks we're only from like 1999-2001-ish(only half of 2001 we're Windsor)

Yea thats what I was thinking....Im not sure if I should go forged or not. I drove my car once with the Sniper base tune and it wasnt enough but maybe when I get it fine tuned it will be although I doubt it lol

So how are these forged 6 bolt crankshafts compared to the cobra cranks??? Are they just as strong and handle just as much???
