I think the motor just needs more boost.

what kind of intercooler are you running, maybe drill and tap a fitting before the intercooler to see what kind of boost drop you have (possibly a restriction).

and even with the spool up problem of your centri, at 6300 rpm and 12 lbs of boost on stage 3 ported heads (most flow over 300cfm) you should be making well over 500 horses imo. maybe look into a better tuner.

I thought that blow off valves were designed to stay shut til a certain boost level and then open to alleaviate some of the pressure that isnt needed/wanted. In that case if the spring in the bov was not strong enough to hold the boost he is running, and was shooting it all out into the atmosphere. And like AZ said, that street valve is meant for no more than 12psi...and what is the OP seeing...12psi. So i think that that is probably where the problem lies. I mean common sense just seems to be telling me to look at the numbers. 460rwhp with that setup is...no offense op...pathetic. There has to be a major problem with something and i call out the BOV!!! And to address the question on how my friends turbo cobra was making 30+psi was because they put a real stiff spring in the bov and some washers to make it not come as open and they would up the boost because the bov was venting all of it into the atmosphere. So when they got the bov to stay shut, they forgot to turn the boost back and it shot up past 30psi. Thats what he said happened. He can be somewhat dumb...like buying a f***ed up turbo cobra for like $30,000 and then trying to make it run right. But anyways, i hope the info im posting is right. Im not perfect and some of it maybe wrong so if it is, correct it as needed but dont go e-bullying me about it.

yea a bypass may be different but thats absolutely not how a blow off valve works or what its designed for and doing what you just said wouldn't make that cobra make 30lbs. of boost. a bov is designed to protect the turbos compressor blades and the motors throttle body from residual boost when you shut the throttle blade/s after a boosted pass. one reason why some auto cars don't run bovs. the only way your buddys cobra should have made 30lbs. of boost is if you blocked off the wastegate inlet or pinched off the wastegate reference line. just remember wastegates control boost, not the bov. really the spring in the bov is adjusted for vacuum more than boost as boost actually holds the bov closed.

Ok, gotcha. But something has to be wrong with his bypass system for him to not be seeing boost before redline.

or a massive restriction of boost at the intercooler or a good sized boost leak anywhere else.

hey guys, I actually drove my car today, took a little video just to show that the OP should be seeing boost at even 30% Throttle at 4,000RPM , just give me a couple minutes to uploaded.
