Usually if you go to a place to get your windows tinted they will remove old tint for free.

when i took mine off i used ammonia and really fine steel wool. Good luck not messing up your defrost lines. But autozone has fix it kits for that.

Soak newspaper in a strong ammonia based window cleaner (or a strong solution of ammonia, detergent, and water), then stick the wet paper onto the tint for an hour or so.

It wil soften up quite a bit and come off fairly easily with a razor blade scraper, sometimes it will come off in one sheet. If it's not softened enough after an hour so, replace the newspaper with a newly soaked layer and wait another 30 minutes or so.

no dont pay anyone to do it its easy. just use ammonia and sray it on the tint let it soak in then peal the tint off. for the spots that the glue is left behind spray the ammonia on there then take some fine steel wool and the glue will come right off. took me about an hour to get it all off.

You know those amazing steam cleaners that they sell on TV? They show them cleaning grout on tile, stoves and grills etc? Well they don't work for that nearly as well as for removing tint. If you know someone who has one ask if you can use it. Try peeling a corner of the tint up and then use the steamer on high. You can literally peel it off. You will have a little cleanup with ammonia, but it makes the whole process alot faster. I did mine and it worked awesome. Just be careful to not get your speakers all wet.

if you go down this road BE CAREFUL!!. my buddy own vip tint + glass and one of the new guys was trying to remove back window tint w/ a steamer. right before he finished the window the glass shattered. i was watching him too and he wasn't doing anything wrong i guess the window just got too hot. other than that its the best/easiest way
