now, i may be forced to run the nittos this summer, but I will be looking to borrow some prostars and slicks if i can find someone w them. but I know plenty of guys that have run 1.7 60s on nittos. its not that hard.

MT's obviously better than nittos, but i thought the OP stated that he wanted tires that will last. I have had my nittos for 2 seasons. one of them has a slow leak from something I ran over, but there is still plenty of tread on it still.

u want traction? ya get MT's, u want them to last? dont get MT's. they are like butter if ur talking wear.
Im talkin about on the street dude.. I DD'd my Cobra with nittos and BFGs, and I used MTs for track use. My truck I drive (drove ) on Nittos, and they spin everywhere.. Im just giving my opinion. He doesnt drive in rain, and he uses the car on weekends and nice nights basically. I'd say the MTs will last pretty well for the performance they give.

i guess u should try going back to a regular radial and then put the nittos back on. its amazing how much more managable they make the car. yes they spin, yes they can break loose, no they do not offer the best traction. but can they keep a 400+ rwhp tame enough to keep it fun.

u know.... some times i really miss that sarcastic glasses smiley........
as biased and closed-minded as you are being one could assume that maybe you just dont know how to handle a car with that much power.

I could make a 300rwhp car spin the crap out of hoosiers if i really wanted to...... thats not the point

What suspension work was done on these cars that blistered D/R's all the time?

JT, have you considered stepping up to 28in tire? I had 275/60/15 Nittos and they were 28in. When it was nice and warm outside, anything mid 2nd gear or faster was a good solid hook. What are you running for suspension?

BTW, the above examples were with 328rwhp with a fat 200 shot on top. 4.10 gears also.
