Yeah i am pretty sure traction control was on cause i forgot to turn it off...FAIL again hahah. I knew i was going to kill him as soon as we got going so by putting it in 2nd i figured id give him a lil headstart. I told him i wanted a rematch so next time we go im not playing anymore games.. Oh and with D/R's can you punch it off the line without any spin?

 

Oh and what would a tranny swap do anyway?

 

it would just give you a manual instead of an auto and cost you and assload to swap

you could build and auto for cheaper than swapping in a manual and the auto would be faster than the manual

 

Yeah thats not happening if i wanted a manual i would just sell mine and get a stick. It would probably cost me less to do that hahah. Oh and i was wondering if anyone could answer my NITTO D/R's question. Do you spin when you floor it from a dead stop with the D/R's

Putting the car in second isn't like putting a stick shift into second.

If you put your automatic in 2, that means the car will not shift higher than second gear. You're still starting in 1st.

With a stock 4R70W, just put it in drive and hit the gas. You shifting manually isn't going to make anything better.

 

Umm...do you even have a 4r70w?

cause putting it in second WILL start in second gear and hold second untill you put it in Drive.

And to the OP, you shouldnt be spinning with stock gears and an auto...what kind of tires do you have?


You should be able to stomp it and dead hook on a decent tire....hell, my brothers modded auto 00 with 4.10s can dead hook from a dig with vredestein sessanta street tires and he was able to with KDWS....maybe you need to invest in a better street tire.
