What's the reason for all the 18in hate? It's not like I'm buying 20 in wagon wheels with thin *** tires... I have the stock 17s on right now and they just look tiny.

Depends on the tire. My stock 245 Goodyear's had better traction than my 315 summi's.

What kind of sidewall did you have on the 245?

To further prove my point think about this:

17x10.5: 315/35/17 tire weight 30 lbs Eagle f1, other tire-34 lb
18x10: 285/35/18 28 lb other tire-30 lb

Chrome AFS 03 cobra wheels
17x10.5 - 29lbs
18x10 chrome bullets- 30 lbs
My 18x10 afs 03 cobra with a 335/30/18 on it weight in at about 58 lbs for the combo

There really shouldnt be a differance going from 17x9 17x10.5 to 18x9 and 18x10.

There is a lightweight 18 inch wheels you can buy also if you care about weight.

17x10.5 vs 18x10 weight will depend on the weight and width of the tire used....you can throw a light 275 on a 18x10 and I gaurantee the combo will be lighter than a 315 on the same 17x10.5 inch wheel
What is the weight of the stock wheel/tire? Even just a few pound difference will be noticeable when it comes to wheels/tires.

Alright due to the the almost non existent 315/30/18 tire selection I decided it would be more convenient (and a little cheaper) to throw on 17s, 1 inch isn't going to be that noticeable. How well do you guys think this would hook up? http://www.americanmuscle.com/nitto-...315-35-17.html

if your worried about performance but still want 18's, you can go with Steeda Ultralites, 14lbs a wheel, I use them exclusively for racing.

On the street, I wouldn't go anything more than 17"s. They can look just as good as 18's, cost less, and there are more options if I'm not mistaken.

Just for reference, good tires for my 17x10.5's are around 200-300 a piece. For my 18's, a good tire (40 UTWG), is about 600/piece.

oh yeah op, if you haven't lowered your car yet, i say do it, it takes up fenderspace and makes your wheels look bigger. I think you'll be happy with a 17 and a drop if you haven't dropped it yet.
