Default O2 Sensor Question...

I was just wondering if anybody knows whether or not the upstream and downstream O2 sensors are the same...?? I ask because I just installed an X-pipe and I now realize that I put the rear sensors up front and the front sensors in the rear...if it doesn't matter where they go then I will leave them where they are, otherwise I will have to swap them around...any help is appreciated...

I think the 4 sensors themselves are the same.

well when you buy them, they have different part numbers so i'm going to assume that they're different

The front 2 sensors actually monitor the initial AFR while the back 2 verify that the converters are doing their job. So yes on one hand I could see that the sensors could be different.

Did you replace the Bassani O/R H with the X? Does it sound better? I'm thinking of going X.

I always ran X-pipes but the last one was an H-pipe from Summit that I had to modify for the 5.4...it never souded right because it was all mangled so I can't really say how an H-pipe sounds...from looking at the 2 and comparing it looks like an X-pipe flows better...

I got you. Everyone uses an x with my mufflers so I'm guessing that's the best combo.
