I got this idea from the STi guys and I did it on my MkV GTI and had some left over and did it on my stang too.

It's a garage door seal. I got it at lowes for $9 like a year ago so it was basically free this time. It looks really good. I just put it on with 3m double sided tape.

sounds like a cool idea to me, I won't be telling the g/f about a $9 version since she spent the $100 on me for the grill delete and chin spoiler combo lol.
