Buying Used Price ?
Hey guys, I'm looking to purchase 99+ GT here in Northern California and wondering what is a good price to pay or what I can get with my budget being 7K. I'll be going to a dealer as finance is needed but I can say most GT's around here are around 90K Miles. I found a local dealer that has a 99 with 77K for $7K and a 02 with 90K for 6K. Are these reasonable prices or can they be talked down more with the way the economy is? Anyway I'm looking to purchase in April and I can't wait to get back into the mustang family. And I thank you for your insight.

Hey thanks Aeron, I didn't even check SF craigs only sacs, they have some I'm interested in. I guess I might have to take a two hour drive over there when I go to purchase. I can't wait now, I'll try not to so much emotion but its hard too just thinking about getting back into the seat of a mustang. The only thing I'm waiting on is the 2K I'm saving for the DP, tax return and what not.
I do know dealers can be talked down, I've been in the business but I currently don't know what mustangs go for these days and how much the markdowns are already do to the economy but I thank you all for helping me out. I shouldn't have mucg trouble getting one in my range.

I guess I just don't see some of those being that great of deals. Some are, but not all of them.
I paid 9500 for my 99 with 48K four and a half years ago, but if it's something you're willing to pay, and it' makes you happy, then it's only money.

just as some more info...Two years ago I paid $10k for my 00gt with just over 50k on the clock, and the thing was/is immaculate inside and out. It always helps when you can pay for it with cash (as far as talking down a dealer, particularly if they are smaller dealers).
I would say two years later with the economy being down some...you should have no problem scoring a nice car with 60-70k miles for around $7k. Good luck.
