From most angles i think the new edge looks "meaner" than new ones. I personally like the more raw muscle car feel of them too.

man do i remember the days i would go to the car dealer lots and see a brand new termi even though i just got my license and my parents always said no you will get your self killed plus look at that price tag lol!!! I got stuck with a old 94 explorer but hey it only had 38k now shes gone and i got a gas guzzling pickup with a stupid bowtie lol but hey atleast i got my hands on my mothers 01 GT but hopefully the pickup is going in for a 04 termi this summer but im just still in love with the new edge just as i was when they came out the new designs are good but nothing will get me like it did when i saw the first new edge

I agree, the new s197 drive very "soft". I might be the only one but the non flashy interior and black plastic pieces (chin spoiler) are a part of it's charm. The new edges are like a canvas they can look good so many different ways it's just up to the owners creativity.

The S197 might have the better engine.
But the New Edge takes the cake for styling, hands down.

Ever since they came out, I always wanted one. Finally got my chance to purchase one 2 years ago and will not get rid of it.

People have alot of respect of the new edges people turn heads all the time when i drive by. It just looks like ford got it right for the looks. I had a chance to get an 05 when i got my 02. The new edge just feels right lol. Most of the time just a lil rev and folks get out of the way.

I believe the new edge embodies more soul through its styling than other recent stangs IF you lower it and change the rims for 99-00 years. One dislike, the new edge styling does not fit very well with the carry-over roof. I believe the Mach 1 took care of that nicely

soon as i lower my stang i'm ripping the spoiler off and the outside is done.

it is a gorgeous car, and you get to admire 10 of em at every stop light

i would prefer a 5.0 fastback, but if I get a 'project' vehicle it will probably be a late 80's Mazda pickup, bagged/bodydropped with a ford 5.0 in it.

I'm lucky enough to have both an '03 Mach 1 and an '07 V6 w/Pony Package (my wife's car). While I love the way the new Mustangs feel like a much bigger car, and ride light years better than the old Fox platform cars, nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the looks of a freshly washed and waxed New Edge Mustang!

When I paid off my Mach 1 with almost 60k miles on it, I gave some serious thought to selling it and buying a new Shelby or Roush, but in the final analysis, I just couldn't do it. So instead, I put that money into what I call my "ultimate mods", and I plan on keeping the car until they pry my cold, dead fingers from the steering wheel.

New edge stylin hands down. the whole reason i bought my car is i saw what ford was going to in 05 and i dont like the 05+'s i find them to be blah and they just dont seem to be as aggresive lookin.
