Question What does it take for a GT?

I am actually trying to plan and price my build. Current mods in sig. I would like to at least get this thing into low 12's high 11's if possible. I would like to do this once and do it right. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Brand names would help too when you mention certain parts. Also, I don't want to take all the drive-ability away from it. I am planning on doing 4.10s and a tune here shortly. I was thinking of getting a sniper tune, but if I really modify this thing to my goal, would it be better to just get a dyno w/ there tuner or just stick with sniper and do it all myself?

Are you going for N/A, maybe with a shot of spray, or are you open to the idea of FI?

I am open to anything, just not a TC, I would like to stay N/A or shoot spray. S/C would be only if I couldn't get there otherwise. I don't want the wear and tear of constant boost. I would only rather have it when I need it, not all the time.

your current mods with some suspension tweeking, sticky tires and a tuned 100 shot and you should be pretty down into the twelves.

Well with a Centri S/C you wont really be in boost at all times and its definatly there when you need. Not to mention its legal, unlike No2.

Look at trevor on youtube running like 12.1's but thats with powershifting....cams, gears, built rear, and full suspension

I say if you can do all that and also have ported heads then maybe you can be in the 11's n/a

By the time you spend all that money on suspension, cams, and heads then you mightaswell get a S/C. mid/high 12's are not that hard but 11's n/a are

Nitrous FTW....

Just install a safe no2 tune and window switch and you will be fine.

+1 you won't even see any boost until midrange RPM.

The part that you failed to mention is that Trevor is a phenomenal driver. Most people that own Mustangs aren't going to drive/shift as good as him, like someone else said, he is in the 1% range of drivers that are truly GOOD. That very same car with your average driver (who thinks he's the ****) will probably run a 12.4-12.5. Another factor that no one has taken into factor is that he is racing in very good air with low temps, low humidity and about the best DA that you could ask for. That VERY SAME car with the VERY SAME driver would be lucky to break out of the 13's in some other parts of the country.

OP, get a Vortech with an 8# pulley and call it a day. That is truly the BEST bang for the buck if your looking to run mid-low 12's. If you want to stay N/A then you are going to have to do a lot of things in combination to reach your goals.
